Pirelli Tire North America and Michelin North America Inc. are supplying tires for the Cannonball One Lap of America competition presented by Car & Driver magazine and The Tire Rack.
Beginning tomorrow at The Tire Rack in South Bend, Ind., teams riding on Pirelli's P Zero Nero and Michelin's BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD
will be criss-crossing the United States in the 22nd running of the event that covers approximately 3,200 miles.
Similar to recent years, the 2005 event will test the endurance of both vehicles and drivers. Drivers must travel at legal speeds on the highway from the Midwest to the eastern United States and back, while being measured and scored during each competition.
