Marangoni adds four Ringtread dealer plants

April 7, 2005

Marangoni Tread North America Inc. reports two more companies have converted to the Ringtread precure system, and two additional facilities will be opened by existing Ringtread dealers.

Dealers converting their shops to the Ringtread system are Jewell Tire Center in South Paris, Maine, and Ray's Tire in Green Bay, Wis.

Jewell Tire plans to distribute Ringtreads throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, upstate New York and portions of Massachusetts using its wholesale dealer network in addition to its direct commercial sales efforts, according to Bob Jewell, president.

Ray's Tire currently serves commercial accounts in northeastern Wisconsin.

Hill Tire Co. has opened its second Ringtread plant in Valdosta, Ga. It has been a Ringtread dealer since 2002 serving metropolitan Atlanta and central and north Georgia. The new plant will let the company grow business in south Georgia and north Florida, according to Allen Hill, vice president.

Les Schwab also will be installing its second Ringtread manufacturing plant in a Spokane, Wash., location this May. It installed the Ringtread system in its Prineville, Ore., plant in 2002. The new location will help the company supply customers in western Washington, Idaho, Wyoming and Utah.

With these additions, there will be 20 Marangoni Ringtread plants in the U.S. and Canada with over 350 points of sale.
