Independent Tire Dealers Group LLC (ITDG) CEO and President Mike Cox's contract has been extended for an additional three years.
Cox's contract will expire in April 2009.
ITDG's board of directors says Cox "has played a key role in this company."
Cox joined ITDG in 2003. Under his watch, the affinity group has grown to comprise 95 members representing 287 retail tire and service centers.
ITDG carries Continental, General, Pirelli, Sumitomo, Hankook, Yokohama, Titan, Mohawk and other tire brands.
"We believe that providing for the continued services of Mr. Cox is in the best interest of the company and its shareholders."
