TIA creates Ambassador Program

Jan. 31, 2005

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) plans to recruit 100 of its members over the next few months to serve as TIA Ambassadors.

Each participant will agree to host international tire dealer visitors, plus share information with them, according to TIA officials.

"It is hoped that tire dealer TIA members visiting another country or region will avail themselves of the opportunity to visit a fellow tire dealer during their travels, learn about his market and business, and establish the possibility of better international understanding and friendship."

The program was introduced this past weekend at the Ontario Tire Dealers Association's 2005 meeting by TIA Vice President Paul Hyatt.
