Continental AG is restructuring its two tire business units, according to a statement from the German company.
Continental AG's Passenger/Light Truck and Commercial units "will be structured globally and assume global responsibility. This reorganization will create synergies within the company."
Manfred Wennemer heads Continental's Passenger/Light Truck unit; he also serves as chairman of the manufacturer's executive board.
Dr. Hans-Joachim Nikolin is in charge of Continental's Commercial unit.
Yesterday, Continental announced that Bernd Frangenberg, president and CEO of its Continental Tire North America Inc. subsidiary, will retire at the end of March.
