Toyo to celebrate 60th anniversary during 2005

Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. of Osaka, Japan, parent company of Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp., will be celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2005.

The company will hold year-long activities around the globe hosted by Yoshio Kataoka, president and CEO of Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd.

Plus a new logo also has been created for use during 2005 celebrating the “60th Anniversary of Toyo Group.”

Founded on Aug. 1, 1945, the Toyo Group now has sales subsidiaries in the United States, Canada, Australia, China, United Kingdom, and the European continent (Germany), the company notes.

In addition, the company has dedicated test tracks in Miyazaki Prefecture and Saroma, Hokkaido, Japan; manufacturing facilities in Japan, Malaysia and soon in the U.S.; and joint ventures with various manufacturers around the globe.

Toyo Group includes Nitto Tire North America and Toyo Automotive Parts (USA) Inc.
