Bridgestone Corp. is giving about $900,000 to tsunami relief efforts in Asia.
Bridgestone made the donation through the Japan Red Cross, which will allocate funds at its discretion.
Bridgestone subsidiaries in Thailand, India, Indonesia and Malaysia will make separate contributions to local relief efforts.
Continental AG and Groupe Michelin also have announced donations to the cause.
