Bridgestone/Firestone (BFS) Inc. has promoted Eugenio Deliberato to president and managing director of Bridgestone/Firestone do Brasil, while Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has named George Rietbergen its European director of e-commerce.
Deliberato, who officially assumes the job on Oct. 1, replaces Vito De Florio, who is retiring from the company after 42 years of service.
Deliberato most recently worked as Bridgestone/Firestone do Brasil's vice president of legal and government affairs.
Rietbergen, who previously served KLM Royal Dutch Airlines as its director of e-commerce and commercial development, will "work with the rest of Goodyear's e-business group to transfer initiatives from other business units into the European groups," say Goodyear officials.
He also will "initiate projects for both our European Union and Eastern Europe, Africa and Middle East business units."
