SEMA Show pre-show: Pirelli P Zero All Season +
Demonstrating its commitment to the North American market, Pirelli Tire LLC introduced the P Zero All Season Plus to its customers at the 2014 Pirelli Dealer Meeting on Nov. 1. The ultra-high performance all-season replacement tire was developed specifically for North American driving enthusiasts.
"The launch of the new P Zero All Season Plus is yet again another sign of Pirelli’s strong commitment to the U.S. market," said Paolo Ferrari, chairman, CEO and president.
"We’re also proud that this product, tailored specifically for the U.S., has been produced locally here in North America at our Silao factory in Mexico. We’re excited to continue expansion and production at this factory to meet both consumer and dealer needs in the region."
As part of the launch, Pirelli is spotlighting the tire in its booth at the Global Tire Expo, which is part of the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show and Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week in Las Vegas.
The P Zero All Season Plus is a replacement tire that provides maximum performance in wet or dry conditions, including light snow. Inner block winter siping technology is partially responsible for the snow traction performance, while lateral siping on the outer blocks ensures maximum cornering performance, dry grip and improved aquaplaning resistance.
Pirelli says the new member of the P Zero family has the following:
* excellent wet and dry traction with shorter stopping distances;
* enhanced safety and control in aquaplaning situations;
* an optimized tread pattern designd to reduce noise inside the vehicle.
Pirelli backs the tire with a 50,000-mile limited tread wear warranty and its 30-day trial, which the company markets under the Confidence Plus Plan.
“The P Zero All Season Plus also marks the latest product from Pirelli’s successful 'Plus' strategy, derived from original equipment product development that is dedicated to the aftermarket -- with a focus on maximizing driving pleasure without abandoning tread wear," said Ferrari. The others are the P7 All Season Plus, Scorpion Verde All Season Plus, Cinturato P1 Plus (launched earlier this year) and the P4 Four Seasons Plus (a standard touring tire).
