Ascenso Tires North America recently held an interactive VF Tire Technology Field Day in Burley, Idaho.

The event was designed to demonstrate the real-world benefits of VF (very high-flexion) tire technology and central tire inflation systems (CTIS).

Tire dealers, farmers and other agricultural professionals participated in the event, experiencing "first-hand how Ascenso's innovative tire solutions, including the VDR 900 and VDR 2000, can significantly reduce soil compaction, improve traction and enhance overall operational efficiency."

Jesse Wickel, owner of Wickel Tires, says his dealership was "proud to host Ascenso and bring together farmers and industry professionals to showcase" the advantage of VF technology.

Attendees engaged in a series of hands-on demonstrations featuring a John Deere 8345R tractor.

These included a footprint test, where attendees observed the soil footprint left by tractor tires at varying inflation levels; a demonstration in which the tractor was driven through fields at minimum VF field pressure, "showcasing minimal soil disturbance and strong load-bearing performance," according to Ascenso officials; and a pressure test, during which "experts guided attendees through calculating optimal tire pressure based on measuring axle loads" and demonstratd how air pressure can impact load carrying capacity.

In addition, a speed test saw a tractor driven at the maximum allowed speed with VF tires inflated to a high, optimal pressure. A CTIS demonstration and a pressure test also took place.
