Continental Rolls Out New Regional Tires

Continental Tire the Americas LLC has introduced two new, fuel efficient regional medium truck tires.

Continental Tire the Americas LLC has introduced two new, fuel efficient regional medium truck tires.

The Conti HSR 5 EP and Conti HDR 5 EP are designed for regional haul applications and are the newest additions to Continental's Generation 5 regional haul line.

The tires feature advanced tread compounds to balance mileage with rolling resistance, enhanced casing durability for enhanced retreadability, all-weather capability, an open shoulder tread design, improved cut and chip protection and more.

"The new products were developed to support evolving fleet sustainability and efficiency requirements while maintaining the durability and performance characteristics regional operators expect from Continental truck tires," say Continental officials.

The Conti HSR 5 EP and Conti HDR 5 EP, which delivers an estimated 19% improvement in miles to removal compared to its predecessor, are available this month in key regional sizes. Additional sizes will be rolled out throughout 2017.
