Continental Tire the Americas LLC's new ContiTread HTR has been designed for trailer service across regional and long-haul applications.

"Built with a lightweight, resilient compound, the ContiTread HTR delivers consistent, dependable performance in challenging environments," say Continental officials. "Its robust tread pattern and enhanced rounded shoulder design offer superior durability in high-scrub conditions, making it a versatile solution for a wide range of vocations."

Features include a rounded shoulder design for increased durability in high-scrub environments; a new tread pattern that resists shoulder tearing and provides enhanced stone protection; a heat-reducing compound that preserves casing integrity for future retreading; and precision-engineered widths (200–240 mm) :"to support long-lasting performance."

"The ContiTread HTR represents a significant advancement in retread technology,” says Shaun Uys, vice president of Continental’s U.S. Commercial Vehicle Tire business. “We’ve designed it to outperform its predecessor, the HTL.”

Continental officials add that the ContiTread HTR "also excels in long-haul operations, offering fleets a reliable, cost-effective solution that extends tire life and reduces total cost of ownership."
