Tech International not only has named Dan Layne executive vice president, but also has appointed him to its board of directors, the latter effective in July, 2012.

In his new position as executive vice president, Layne is responsible for the following:

* strategic and business planning;

* all Tech International companies (Tech International, Johnstown, Ohio; Eurotech B.V., Lisburn, Northern Ireland; Tech International (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., Songjiang, Shanghai, China; Nippon Tech Inc., Tokyo, Japan; and Pangus Rubber Products, Escer, Hungary).

* global diversification and acquisition initiatives.

Dan's wife, Nikki, joined the Tech International board in April, 2012. She is the daughter of the company's president, Cheryl Poulton.

"Nikki has been involved with Tech all her life," says Poulton. "She has a wonderful understanding of Tech's culture as well as our core values.

"Tech has been owned by my family for 73 years. It is important that our company's culture and core values, created by my grandparents, then imparted and driven by my father, Frank Chambers, and my mother, Pauline Chambers, continue to be shared with our Tech global family of employees."

Dan Layne has been with the company for 19 years. "He has a keen understanding of all aspects of our Tech business," says Poulton.

"As Tech continues to grow and expand our operations globally as well as evolve our business model, we look to Dan to lead our global business planning process, which is mission critical to our continued success, and to focus on building our corporate infrastructure needed to maintain our growth."
