Harvey Brodsky, managing director of the Retread Tire Association (RTA), will make a presentation at the Colorado Association of Transit Agencies/CDOT conference. The conference will be held in Steamboat Springs, Colo., on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011.
Brodsky’s presentation will be titled, "Investigating the cost savings of retreads without sacrificing safety, performance or handling."
“Thousands of municipal and school buses throughout the U.S. and other parts of the world have been successfully using retreaded tires for many years," he says. "Despite this success, many bus fleet managers won’t consider using retreaded tires on their fleets.”
A representative from a major tire company will participate with Brodsky during his presentation.
