Nearly 1,000 global partners of Shandong Linglong Tire Co. gathered in Jingmen, Hubei Province in China, for the foundation stone laying ceremony of the company's fourth domestic tire plant. Linglong says the new manufacturing base will "lay a solid foundation for improving Linglong’s international market competitiveness to a great degree."
The ceremony was held on July 6, 2018.
The plant in Hubei will manufacture truck and bus tires, passenger tires and off-the-road tires. Annual capacity will be 12 million passenger units, 2.4 million TBR units, and 60,000 OTR tires. Sales for Hubei Linglong are estimated to reach 5 billion RMB.
Hubei Linglong Tire will cover an area of over 900,000 square meters with a planned floor area more than 700,000 square meters.
Linglong says the plant will integrate intelligent manufacturing, product lifecycle management, industrial big data application and a high-end brand. The company wants to "break through regional restriction" and serve customers at zero distance, while improving market share and reducing logistics costs.
