Titan Partners With NASCAR Driver Ross Chastain

Titan International Inc. is partnering with NASCAR driver and eighth-generation watermelon farmer Ross Chastain to bolster solutions for the ag tire market.

Titan and its ag specialists are bringing its lineup of tires to Chastain’s family farm to support Melon 1, the country’s largest watermelon growers and shippers, and the equipment needs of watermelon production.

Throughout the planting and harvesting process, the Chastain farm runs nearly a dozen different pieces of equipment, from Kubota M6 tractors to sprayers, trailers and ATVs, all requiring specialized tire solutions, Titan officials say.

“Watermelon farming has unique demands across a wide range of equipment,” says Scott Sloan, global ag and LSW product manager at Titan. “Our goal is to make each machine perform at its best. If Ross trusts Titan on his farm, that tells other farmers they can trust us too.”

While watermelon farming requires specific equipment and tire needs, Titan officials say the company is working to drive solutions “across the entire fleet of farm equipment to maximize performance and minimize downtime.”
