Toyo Introduces 2 Nanoenergy Wide-Base Tires

Aug. 7, 2018

The latest wide-base tires from Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. were designed with new low rolling-resistant tread compounds and are SmartWay verified.

Launched under the Toyo Nanoenergy line are the M675 long haul drive tire and the M175 long haul trailer tire. They feature proprietary Nano Balance Technology, which contributes to more precisely arranged molecules in the tread compound of the tire. The result is "a low rolling-resistant tread compound that minimizes fuel consumption while improving grip, especially in wet conditions," says Toyo.

* The M675 drive tire has a six-groove design and 24/32-inch tread depth.

* The M175 has seven-groove design and a 13/32-inch tread depth.

These two wide-base tires also incorporate Toyo Tires’ e-balance technology, which minimizes service growth of the tread profile. The result is a reduction in irregular wear and an increase in overall longevity.

"Fleets are looking to improve fuel efficiency without giving up original tread life," says Mike Graber, director of commercial tire sales. "The M175 and M675 from Toyo Tires provide both. The result is a lower cost per mile and an improved bottom line for our customers."
