Pete's Tire Barns Inc. recently held a grand opening for its new distribution center in its hometown of Orange, Mass.
The building, which is three acres in size, sits on a 24-acre site. It serves as a re-supply warehouse for the dealership's 16 service centers throughout New England. It carries passenger, performance, light truck, medium truck, OTR, farm, industrial, forestry and other tires, as well as a large selection of tubes and flaps.
The facility allows the company's former warehouse space in Orange to be used for expansion of its retread operations.
It's one of several planned expansions for Pete's Tire Barns, note company officials. The company recently opened locations in South Windsor, Conn., and Brattleboro, Vt., and will open three new locations in Vermont within the next few months.
Pete's Tire Barns currently operates in four states, including its native Massachusetts, plus Vermont, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
