The California Tire Dealers Association (CTDA) and 1-800EveryRim.com–OEM Wheels held their annual New Year Luncheon on Jan. 15, 2015. Sponsored by Yokohama Tire Corp. and 1-800EveryRim, the event was attended by 71 "enthusiastic tire and wheel people," according to event organizer Billy Eordekian.
A program highlight was the keynote speech by Tire Industry Association President Freda Pratt-Boyer of Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. She passionately talked on an upcoming national transportation bill and its effects on tire dealers.
SEMA Wheel & Tire Council (WTC) Chair-Elect Joe Findeis, owner of Wheel Consultants Inc., discussed benefits of the WTC Ride Guide, which assists dealers with data on tire sizing as related to vehicle performance.
Door prizes were generously provided by Hankook Tire America Corp. Numerous table favors were supplied by Schrader International Inc., Kuhmo Tire U.S.A. Inc., Wheel Consultants, Hankook, Yokohama and 1-800EveryRim.
The luncheon was held at the Dal Rae Restaurant in Pico Rivera, Calif.
