Nokian Names New North American Leader

Oct. 2, 2020
Nokian Tyres plc has named a new leader for its North American business. Anna Hyvönen, who's been a member of Nokian management since 2016, will replace Mark Earl as senior vice president of North America.

Earl, who joined Nokian in May 2018 after working as the president of Hennessy Industries Inc., has left the company to purse other opportunities, Nokian says. “I want to thank Mark for his contributions to the company over the past years. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” says Jukka Moisio, CEO and president of Nokian.

Hyvönen has most recently served as senior vice president of the Nordics region and Vianor. She will retain her leadership of Vianor, the company's chain of retail stores. (The Vianor locations in the U.S. were recently sold to the largest Point S tire dealer in the U.S., Eric Gill.)

Tommi Heinonen, head of sales for Nokian in North America, will start reporting to Hyvönen.

Nokian's tire factory in Dayton, Tenn., remains a part of Nokian's supply chain, and as such its managers and operators report to the company's global supply operations leadership.
