Guayule-Infused Firestone Firehawk to Debut

Bridgestone Americas Inc.'s new new race tire with guayule-derived natural rubber will make its debut at the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix in Nashville, Tenn.

The Firestone Firehawk represent a "milestone" and embodies "our commitment to realizing a more sustainable future for tires, racing and mobility," says Nizar Trigui, chief technology officer and group president, solutions businesses, Bridgestone.

The Big Machine Music City Grand Prix will take place Aug. 5-7.

Bridgestone has invested $100 million in guayule research as part of is efforts to achieve carbon neutrality and 100% renewable tires by the year 2050.

As part of its fan engagement efforts, Hankook will operate a pop-up event, the Formula E X Hankook Tube Shop, from April 9 to 11 on Miami Beach. This event aims to introduce motorsport fans to Hankook’s global integrated brand and its EV racing tire technologies.
