"The retread tire adjustment rate today is running under 1%," Tire Retread Information Bureau Managing Director Harvey Brodsky announced at Hankook Tire America Corp.'s truck tire dealer meeting, which is being held this week in Akron, Ohio.
In addition to retreads, Brodsky discussed proper tire maintenance during his presentation. He said that tires fail and come apart because of four reasons:
1. underinflation;
2. overloading;
3. mismatching of duals;
4. poor alignment.
The Hankook meeting ends tomorrow.
