Michelin, union continue to negotiate after extending contract one day

Michelin North America Inc.'s BFGoodrich Tire Manufacturing division and the United Steelworkers mutally agreed to a 24-hour extension of the current contract late Saturday evening. The original contract was set to expire at midnight on July 22.
The current contract covers BFGoodrich's manufacturing facilities in Tuscaloosa and Opelika, Ala. and Fort Wayne, Ind.
