Nokian Tyres plc introduced three new tires to a group of independent tire dealers earlier today, June 5, during a meeting in Las Vegas, Nev.
New tires include the Vatiiva H/T, the Vatiiva M/T and the NTR 21.
The Vatiiva H/T is an all-season light truck tire that's available in 22 sizes, ranging from 15 to 20 inches. The tire is designed for a quiet ride and contains zig-zag siping to enhance winter traction, Nokian officials told dealers.
The Vatiiva M/T is designed for mud applications and is available in 11 sizes, ranging from 15 to 17 inches. It contains alternating tread shoulder lugs for mud and dirt evacuation, biting edges in the upper sidewall and wedge-shaped center regions.
Nokian officials predict that the Vatiiva M/T will go over well in the southern United States.
The NTR 21 is a medium truck tire designed specifically for winter driving conditions. It comes in two sizes, 11R22.5 and 11R24.5, and contains an open tread pattern with wide main grooves for snow and slush evacuation.
