Continental Tire North America Inc. (CTNA)President Dr. Ulrich Wellen has resigned from the company; he has been replaced by Martin de Louw, who oversees the company's passenger/light truck unit.
Wellen left "to pursue other professional activities," according to CTNA officials.
De Louw also serves as a board member for CTNA parent company, Continental AG, and is the head of the German tiremaker's worldwide passenger tire division.
Wellen was named CTNA president last year.
