Mitchell 1 automates software update process

Feb. 27, 2014

The latest version of the Manager SE shop management system from Mitchell 1 includes automatic software updates. The new Mitchell 1 Auto Updater feature in version 6.5 eliminates the need for shops to update the software manually.

The company says Auto Updater delivers all software updates, patches and enhancements automatically, saving time for users and ensuring that shops always have access to the latest features without having to run a DVD installation.

In addition to the Auto Updater, the latest version of Manager SE also includes several enhancements that improve functionality, performance and reporting. The updated reports include coupon utilization, customer follow-up, balance-due statements and cash receipts by payment type, in addition to technician worksheets.

“The new Auto Updater greatly improves workflow for shops. By automating the update process, we have eliminated the need for manual updates and can also ensure that our customers are using the very latest version of their shop management software, without any effort on their part,” says Ben Johnson, director of product management.

“Several of the enhancements in version 6.5 originated as customer suggestions gathered from face-to-face meetings and input from the online community of Manager SE users. We’re pleased to deliver so many time-saving enhancements requested by shops to help them be more efficient.”
