Goodyear offers "no charge" Wilderness AT replacement

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is letting Ford drivers replace their Firestone Wilderness AT tires with Ford-approved products at more than 5,000 Goodyear retail outlets "at no charge," according to officials from the Akron, Ohio-based tiremaker.

Goodyear also is increasing tire shipments to its independent dealers and company-owned stores in response to Ford's recall that was announced last week.

And the company has boosted tire production "significantly" at its seven North American plants.
