Bridgestone/Firestone (BFS) Inc. has canceled its Bizcon 6 commercial tire dealer meeting that had been scheduled for next week.
BFS officials say it's more appropriate at this time, in light of last week's terrorist bombings, to concentrate on servicing truck fleets throughout the country.
Bizcon was slated for Sept. 26-28 in New Orleans, La.
The Nashville, Tenn.-based tiremaker hopes to reschedule it for next March or April.
