The International Tire & Rubber Association (ITRA) has released its 2002 Commercial Tire Service (CTS) Instructor Training and Certification and Retread/Repair schedule.
Classes, which take place at ITRA's full-scale training facility in Louisville, Ky., include:
January 8-11: CTS Instructor Certification Program; 14-18: In-Depth Retreading and Basic Repairing;
February 5-8: CTS Instructor Certification Program; 18-22: In-Depth Retreading and Basic Repairing in Spanish; Feb. 26-March 1: CTS Instructor Certification Program;
March 4-6: Repairing; 26-29: CTS Instructor Certification Program;
April 8-12: In-Depth Retreading and Basic Repairing; 23-26: CTS Instructor Certification Program;
May 13-15: Repairing; 21-24: CTS Instructor Certification Program;
June 18-21: CTS Instructor Certification Program;
July 22-26: In-Depth Retreading and Basic Repairing in Spanish;
August 5-9: In-Depth Retreading and Basic Repairing;
September 10-13: CTS Instructor Certification Program; 25-27: Repairing;
October 1-4: CTS Instructor Certification Program; 7-11: In-Depth Retreading and Basic Repairing in Spanish;
November 12-15: CTS Instructor Certification Program; 18-20: Repairing;
December 4-6: Retread Plant Manager's Course; 10-13: CTS Instructor Certification Program.
The three- and four-day CTS Programs are based on commercial tire service experience, according to ITRA. Participants with less than two years' experience must register for the four-day class. Those with more than two years' experience may register for the three- or four-day course. The three-day class starts the second day of the scheduled program.
