A Bridgestone/Firestone Americas Holding Inc. spokesman says the company will soon announce a price increase on its passenger and light truck tires.
The hikes are expected to be close to recent price increases announced by other tire manufacturers.
Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. will raise its passenger and light truck tire prices between 3% and 5% on Nov. 1. On the same day, Yokohama Tire Corp. will increase its passenger and light truck tire prices by 4% to 6%.
Michelin North America Inc. and Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Inc. say they also are planning price increases.
