Recent openings and acquisitions have pushed Sun Auto Tire & Service Inc. past the 500-store mark.
Sun Auto Tire today announced it has acquired 24 Greulich’s Auto Repair shops in the Phoenix, Ariz., metro area.
The purchase extends Sun Auto Tire’s Arizona footprint to 83 locations. (Sun Auto Tire is located in Mesa, Ariz.)
“Also added to the Sun Auto map this month are three new Plaza Tire Service shops in Arkansas, Illinois and Indiana,” say Sun Auto Tire officials.
“These additions are the latest chapter in a continuing story of vigorous nationwide expansion for Sun Auto Tire & Service brands, marking a major growth milestone by exceeding 500 locations nationwide.”
Sun Auto Tire officials say new locations in Arizona, Arkansas, Illinois and Indiana “expand the brand’s footprint in all four states, building on a strong network of existing storefronts in each.”
Sun Auto Tire is one of the five largest tire dealerships in the United States, according to the 2024 MTD 100.
