Big Brand Tire & Service has acquired Burt Brothers Tire & Service, adding nearly 30 stores to Big Brand Tire & Service's growing footprint.

Based in North Salt Lake, Utah, Burt Brothers Tire & Service was owned by Utah-based private equity firm Bestige Holdings.

Headquartered in Moorpark, Calif., Big Brand Tire & Service is owned by San Francisco, Calif.-based private equity firm Percheron Capital.

Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

The acquisition "meaningfully expands Big Brand's footprint and density across the Mountain West, further strengthening its position as one of the largest and fastest-growing providers of non-discretionary automotive services in the United States," Big Brand Tire & Service said in a statement issued on Oct. 30.

Percheron Capital is "doubling down on our growth," Joe Buscaglia, CEO of Big Brand Tire & Service, told MTD this past April. “We want to grow to 1,000 stores by 2030.”

Big Brand Tire & Service is one of the 10 largest tire dealerships in the United States, according to the 2025 MTD 100.

Bestige gained majority ownership in Burt Brothers Tire & Service in early-2023, after acquiring a stake in the dealership in September 2022.

In July 2024, Brian Maciak, then-CEO of Burt Brothers Tire & Service, told MTD that the dealership, which had previously been owned by the Burt family, wanted to add 40 locations within the next three years, targeting a total footprint of 75 to 100 outlets within the next half-decade.
