High Ridge, Mo.-based Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers now has 19 locations in Wisconsin thanks to two recent acquisitions.

Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers has acquired Schierl Tire & Auto Service, an eight-location dealership, and two Al Huss Auto locations.

"Schierl Tire & Auto Service was founded in 1956 and does automotive maintenance and repair, along with tire service for heavy trucks and farm equipment," say Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers officials.

"With the acquisition of the Schierl Tire brand, Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers continues our expansion in the Wisconsin market,” says Dobbs Tire & Service Centers President Dustin Dobbs. “We’re excited to build on our reputation for exceptional service and quality products, while continuing to invest in training, state-of-the-art equipment and our valued team members to further elevate the customer experience.”

All Schierl Tire retail employees will be retained in the transaction.

"We believe Dobbs is the perfect partner to continue the Schierl Tire legacy of exceptional customer service and community commitment,” says William Schierl, co-CEO of Team Schierl Companies. “Continued investment in their people and operations ensures our customers will continue to receive the highest level of care.”

Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers, which is owned by Audax Private Equity, moved into Wisconsin in recent months with its acquisition of Appleton-based Matthews Tire, which had even stores. Dobbs also has opened six new greenfield locations in Missouri and 16 brownfield sites in Ohio, Missouri, Illinois and Wisconsin.

The dealership is set to open 18 more locations in early-2026, which will give it more than 150 stores across a multi-state area.
