Mavis Completes Pep Boys Purchase

Mavis Tire Express Services Corp. has completed its $700 million acquisition of Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack.

Mavis Tire Express Services Corp. has completed its $700 million acquisition of Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack.

The deal includes nearly 800 Pep Boys locations.

The Mavis network now includes more than 4,400 service center locations across the United States and Canada, including a substantially expanded presence across the Western United States.

Pep Boys had been owned by Icahn Automotive Group LLC, which acquired the chain 10 years ago.

“Closing this transaction marks an important milestone for Mavis and an exciting next chapter for Pep Boys,” said Stephen Sorbaro, Mavis co-CEO.
