Chris Barry has been promoted to vice president of sales for the Independent Tire Dealer Group (ITDG).
Barry joined ITDG in 1998 and since then has helped the group grow from $16 million in total group purchases to more than $344 million in 2021. The group has 164 members who represent more than 1,000 locations in 45 states.
Dave Marks, president and CEO of ITDG, says Barry will play an integral role in helping Marks' successor. Marks plans to retire in 2023.
Marks says, “Since day one when I took over leadership of the group, Chris has been a tremendous asset to me as well as the rest of the team and our members. Chris has earned a high level of respect from his peers in the industry as well as our members and partner-vendors.”
Prior to joining ITDG, Barry worked for Tire Dealer's Warehouse, a former division of Hercules Tire & Rubber Co.
