DRC Tires has named industry veteran Ed Fabrizio as its director of factory sales, U.S.
Based in Vietnam, DRC Tires, which was founded nearly 50 years ago, is a supplier of commercial truck, off-the-road, agricultural, industrial and specialty tires.
“DRC has sold tires in the U.S. market for eight years and wants to take its business to the next level,” says Fabrizio, who most recently served as business development manager for Los Angeles, Calif.-based Wholesale Tire Distributors.
Prior to that, he was general manager of Baton Rouge, La.-based Area Wholesale Tire for a number of years, served as president of Del-Nat Tire Corp. and has held many other executive positions in the tire industry.
“Our vision for DRC in the U.S. market is to have a broad-based distribution across multiple product categories, while exploring new categories, such as passenger, light truck, radial S/T trailer, golf tires and others", says Fabrizio.
“We have two DRC warehouses – one in California and another one in Florida – that have the capability to ship nationwide in 53-foot trailer loads. DRC plans to open two more this year in Texas and Savannah, Ga.
“We’re working to streamline our lines to meet the needs of U.S. customers and are looking for multi-location dealer/distributors that can provide multi-faceted services across a wide spectrum of categories.
“We have a wide-open footprint and the means to manage this objectively,” says Fabrizio.
