New ZC Rubber Plant Makes First Tire
Tires made at the new Zhongce Rubber Group Co. Ltd. (ZC Rubber) plant in Indonesia will be sold in the United States.
The plant, which is operated by ZC Rubber’s newly created Indonesian subsidiary, PT Matahari Indonesia, covers 500,000 square meters and will play “a vital role in ZC Rubber’s global expansion strategy,” according to ZC Rubber officials.
“While still in the ramp-up phase, the production of the first tire” at the factory, which recently took place, “marks significant progress toward meeting demand for high-quality tires in both local and international markets, including the U.S.”
“In just 233 days, we went from groundbreaking to the first tire off the line,” says Wang Xianning, vice president of ZC Rubber.
