TIA Continues Mobile Training With Today's Class

Jan. 22, 2025

Thanks to its partnership with Today's Class, the Tire Industry Association (TIA) offers bite-sized, mobile training sessions to help tire technicians retain and enhance their understanding of TIA-approved training lessons.

The five-minute online, daily training sessions are available through a partnership with Today's Class. Technicians who have completed TIA's 200- or 300-level courses can use the Today's Class mobile app to reinforce the best practices for safe tire service. The app is available for both iOS and Android users.

“There’s a natural alignment between TIA and Today’s Class that makes this partnership a perfect fit,” said Christine Hoogenboom, TIA’s director of training. “The Today’s Class platform reinforces the high-quality training TIA has provided for decades, empowering technicians to feel confident and stay safe on the job. We’re thrilled to reaffirm this valuable resource to our members and the industry.”

There are training modules focused on Commercial Tire Service (CTS), with topics including wheels, tires, RIST (remove, inspect, snug, and torque), jacking/lifting, and mount/demount. There are additional modules for TIA's Automotive Tire Service (ATS) training.

"Today’s Class is committed to making training personalized and engaging. Our platform meets each person where they’re at," said David Boyes, president of Today’s Class. "We have been working to shift the training paradigm by creating daily learning designed for long-term retention, resulting in increased shop productivity and safety."

Shop owners who use Today’s Class can also learn:

  • How to reach shop goals by improving employee knowledge
  • How the algorithm creates a unique learning experience for each user
  • How managers and owners can gain a top-down view of employee performance
  • About knowledge retention through daily, online training that reinforces the important content employees need to know with focused, bite-sized information to keep critical knowledge top of mind.
  • How shop owners’ teams can take ownership of their learning experience.
