Giti Tire Introduces Giti Brand to U.S. Market

Giti Tire (USA) Ltd. is introducing its Giti brand to the United States market through a "growing portfolio of passenger, light truck and winter tires."

Giti Tire (USA) Ltd. is introducing the Giti brand to the United States market through a "growing portfolio of passenger, light truck and winter tires," a focused domestic manufacturing strategy and support for tire dealers. 

The company says the launch is part of Giti Tire's long-term growth strategy to reinforce its expertise and meet "the evolving needs of the U.S. market."

To emphasize the tiremaker's U.S.-based R&D and manufacturing capabilities, all products will be made at its 1,500-acre, 1.8 million-square-foot Richburg, S.C. plant. (Click here to read MTD's latest story on the future of Giti Tire's U.S. manufacturing strategy.)

Expanded U.S. products

Giti Tire is bringing a range of tires to the market across key segments, including the Giti Comfort XA1, "a touring tire designed for everyday driving comfort, durability and balanced performance" and available in 43 sizes fitting wheels ranging from 17 inches to 20 inches in diameter; the WeatherSmart, "an all-weather tire engineered to deliver dependable traction and control across changing seasonal conditions" and also available in 43 sizes and fitting rims ranging from 17 inches to 20 inches in diameter; the GitiXcursion AT, an all-terrain light truck tire that's available in 39 sizes, fitting wheels ranging from 15 inches to 22 inches in diameter; and the GitiXcursion XT, "a rugged terrain (RT) light truck tire designed for more aggressive traction, durability and demanding off-road environments," available in 30 sizes and fitting wheels ranging from 16 inches to 22 inches in diameter. 

Giti Tire will also introduce the WinterSmart this fall "to meet the needs of drivers across a wide range of climates and conditions," say company officials.

Features and benefits of the WinterSmart tire include an asymmetric tread pattern designed to enhance treadwear and improve handling; 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake certification; multi-angled zig-zag micro grooving and wide main grooves; and advanced polymer engineering.

"The introduction of the Giti brand is designed to help tire dealers compete with a strong combination of product coverage, domestic manufacturing and consumer confidence programs that support retail sell-through," say Giti Tire officials.

At the retail level, the company says its U.S.-built Giti product line will help dealers "reinforce (customer) confidence in quality, shorten the path to purchase and create a clear point of difference beyond price alone."

The tiremaker says that eligible Giti products will be supported by GitiGuardian, a customer confidence package that includes several benefits, depending on product eligibility and registration.

Benefits include a 90-day satisfaction guarantee, limited mileage warranty on eligible products, a six-year limited warranty covering workmanship and materials, 24/7 roadside assistance and more.

"For dealers, GitiGuardian provides a compelling way to build trust at the counter by pairing strong products with meaningful peace of mind – helping improve conversion, increase confidence and strengthen repeat business," say Giti Tire officials.
