Oriente Tire U.S.A. LLC has named its first U.S. sales director for Petlas consumer tires in the U.S. —David Halldane. He will be responsible for market and sales development of Petlas passenger, light truck and SUV tire lines in the U.S.
Halldane joins Oriente, the exclusive distributor of Petlas consumer tires in the U.S., with more than 30 years of experience in the tire industry. He's worked as the national sales manager for Linglong Americas Inc. and the western sales director for Nexen Tire U.S.A. He also served as national sales manager for ITA-Itochu Tire America and worked for Tire Centers LLC in commercial western sales, operations and distribution.
Petlas is already known in the U.S. for its lineup of radial farm and off-the-road tires. The brand's tires are manufactured in Turkey, and its plant in Kirsehir, Turkey has the capacity to build 11 million consumer tires, along with 1.5 million farm tires, 850,000 truck tires and 400,000 OTR tires.
