Updated: Bridgestone Will Hike PLT Tire Prices Oct. 1

Sept. 10, 2018

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC (BATO) plans to increase prices of its passenger and light truck tires in the U.S. beginning Oct. 1.

Initially the company didn't say how much of an increase it would impose. But Bridgestone told Modern Tire Dealer it will adjust prices up to 3.5% "across a range of passenger and light truck replacement tires sold in the U.S."

Bridgestone says the higher pricing will vary by product line, and members of the BATO consumer replacement sales team are contacting customers with details.

The Sept. 10 increase on consumer tires follows an Aug. 28 announcement that Firestone ag tire prices would go up 4% on Oct. 1.
