Nokian Tyres plc will introduce three new tires for the North American market in 2018 — the non-studded Hakkapeliitta R3 and R3 SUV tires, plus the all-weather WR G4.
The Hakkapeliitta R3 and R3 SUV tires are designed especially for North America, as well as the Nordic countries and Russia. Nokian says it's an "entirely new" non-studded offering.
Petri Niemi, head of product and pricing management for Nokian, says, "The new Nordic non-studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 winter tire is the number one choice for those who value unique driving comfort, safety and greener driving. These new products that utilize state-of-the-art technology will increase and support our sales during the coming winter seasons."
Nokian says the WR G4 all-weather tire offers balanced handling and grip for passenger cars in every season, from snow and slush to rain and sunshine.
Additionally, the company will launch the WR SUV 4 tire in Central Europe. The tire offers excellent handling in varying winter conditions, Nokian says.
The new products will start shipping to retailers in the spring of 2018. More information and sizing details will be released later, the company says.
