Tire Barn partners with Jeff Saturday for charity

Tire Barn Warehouse has partnered with Indianapolis Colts center Jeff Saturday and Central Indiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This marks the third NFL season the company has teamed up with a Colts player and charity to help raise awareness and monetary donations.

The Colts’ Training Camp takes place at Tire Barn Field at Anderson University, Anderson, Ind. A partnership between the Jeff Saturday, Tire Barn and Central Indiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure had been in development prior to the Colts arriving in Anderson.

“We are proud that Jeff played an important leadership role in bringing the Colts back to Anderson for training camp,” says Chris Jones, owner of Tire Barn Warehouse. “We are all ready for football and kicking off our fundraising efforts during Colts City at camp.”

As a lifelong resident of Anderson, being able to partner with a Colts player and a charity each season is always an easy decision for Jones. He says the company recognizes the continued need to give back.

“The fans that come out to training camp and Colts home games, who take time to visit our tent and donate, are the ones who really need to be thanked,” says Jones.

Tire Barn Warehouse helped to raise awareness and funds for the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in 2009, and in 2010 the Pierre Garcon Haitian Helping Hands Foundation. This season, with Jeff Saturday’s assistance, Tire Barn’s fundraising efforts are going towards Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

“The public’s generous donations this year are helping a cause unfortunately that has hit close to home for so many people,” says Jones. “Every dollar raised goes back to the foundation.”
