TIA adds recreational fun to OTR conference

May 12, 2015

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is adding three recreational programs for attendees of the 2016 OTR Conference, in addition to the existing annual golf tournament. The OTR Conference will be held Feb. 17-20, 2016, at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in San Diego.

The new leisure programs are as follows:

La Jolla Sea Caves and Ecological Reserve Kayak Tour – Guests will explore the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean in kayaks and a personal guide will lead guests on a tour through the beautiful La Jolla Caves. No experience necessary.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park – Guests will visit this 1,800-acre wildlife preserve where more than 4,000 rare and endangered animals can be seen in wide-open habitats that simulate their native homeland.

Sailing Cup Challenge – Guests will race for the finish line of a pre-designated course on a 27’ - 47’ sailboat. Sailing experience is not necessary.

The golf tournament and leisure programs will take place the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 18.

“Over the past few years, we have been expanding the leisure program offerings beyond golf and the response has been tremendous," says TIA Executive Director Roy Littlefield. "In addition to being enjoyable, the leisure programs offer excellent opportunities to network in a non-traditional setting."

Leisure programs are open to all OTR Conference delegates and their registered guests. Persons interested in attending the OTR Conference can find information and a registration form at www.tireindustry.org/2016-otr-conference.
