Rick Wheeler is taking his decades of tire expertise to Tire Group International LLC (TGI). He's been named vice president of national sales for the Florida-based tire distributor and wholesaler. In the newly created role, Wheeler will be responsible for the sales, marketing and customer service teams for the North American market.
Joaquin Gonzalez, president of TGI, says Wheeler "is an experienced industry executive that understands the independent tire dealer and has earned their respect with is integrity and work ethic. Rick has 25 years of experience managing multinational brands, this will be invaluable to TGI as we continue to expand our presence in the U.S. market.”
Wheeler has held various executive positions in the consumer, commercial and wholesale tire channels with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co, Michelin North America Inc. and most recently Kumho Tire USA.
