Mickey Thompson will host racing icon at SEMA

Sept. 30, 2013

On Nov. 6 Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels will host racing icon Brian Deegan at the 2013 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show at 3:30, booth 43035, for a special media conference to introduce the new Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 tire.

Deegan, a four-time Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS) Short Course champion and 16-time X Games medalist, will join the company to provide all the details of this newly developed tire using the latest in light truck tire technology.

Deegan competes in the Pro 2 Unlimited Class and the Pro Lite Unlimited Class using Mickey Thompson tires. In addition to his LOORRS success, he is an international competitor and the most decorated Freestyle Motocross rider in the competition’s history.

“It was amazing to work with the Mickey Thompson engineering, research and development teams to develop the new Deegan 38 tire,” says Deegan. “We paid special attention to the design of both the tread and the sidewall to make the Deegan 38 light truck tire, and we can’t wait to share all the details.”

“Today’s trucks, Jeeps and off-road vehicles are designed to take on some pretty challenging conditions,” says Ken Warner, vice president of sales and marketing at Mickey Thompson.

“Product innovation is part of our 50-year legacy, and we’ve worked with Brian, a champion competitor, to develop a new product that has Mickey Thompson technology and quality you can trust. We’re proud to collaborate on this special project with Brian.”
