The Independent Tire Dealers Group LLC (ITDG) signed a record number of new members during the first half of 2013.
Entering the second half, ITDG has 16 new members in 12 states. They account for 66 additional locations, also a six-month record.
"Ten years ago, we were mainly a West Coast/Southern California phenomenon," says CEO and President Mike Cox. "We are now represented in 31 states, and are continuing to expand our footprint. This growth is a testament to the viability of our program."
According to Cox, ITDG has one of the most flexible buying programs in the industry.
"We join forces with our vendor partners to offer competitive programs that work for just about every type of independent dealer out there. You name a program -- almost any program -- and we probably have a member using that program and simultaneously using the ITDG program.
"The exclusive Diamondback PLT line further complements our offerings and will help fuel future growth of the group when combined with our current program," he adds.
The ITDG is comprised of 462 points of sale in 31 states with estimated member sales of more than $1.8 billion.
