New Oliver Rubber SmartWay retread launched

June 17, 2013

Oliver Rubber Co. has launched Vantage Trailer II, a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) SmartWay-verified trailer position precure retread for long-haul and OTR applications. Vantage Trailer II is designed for single-axle and tandem-axle assemblies.

“The Vantage Trailer II demonstrates the strength of Oliver’s experience,” says Philip Boarts, Oliver product category manager. “This new retread provides excellent fuel economy, treadwear and traction.”

Oliver Rubber says its compounding expertise delivers a low rolling resistance with a contact area that sustains a solid footprint, resulting in excellent tread life. The rounded shoulders reduce turning and corner stress and help resist curb damage.

The retread is available with or without Serra-Sipes for greater traction. The Vantage Trailer II is available in four sizes: 205, 210, 220 and 230.

The Vantage Trailer II includes Oliver’s exclusive VDI plus tread feature that acts as a visual depth indicator. It also resists the retention of road debris and helps in the enforcement of pull points.

VDI plus has two major benefits for transportation and logistics companies. First, easy visual tread depth gauging enhances the budget planning process for fleet operations. Second, by reducing lodging of foreign material, it helps abate stone drilling conditions and casing penetration issues that typically occur in the trucking industry.

All Oliver retreads carry a national warranty to 2/32-inch of tread depth. For additional information visit www.oliverrubber.com.
