Rajiv Poddar, executive director of Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT), will open Tyrexpo India at the Chennai Trade Centre in Chennai, India, July 9-11, 2013.
The event is being organized by ECI International. Says Poddar, “BKT has been an active participant in ECI exhibitions around the world for many years, and we have supported the idea of a dedicated trade show for the Indian market.”
Rajiv has worked extensively at the company’s factories and travelled across its markets. Under his leadership, BKT built its $360 million Greenfield plant at Gujarat, in Western India.The factory is poised to increase overall BKT production capacity by more than 75%. The company says it will be a major contributor to its objective of achieving $2 billion turnover in the U.S. by 2020.
