The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is offering two free webinars to help members prepare for health care reform on Monday, April 29, 2013. The webinars are presented by the Small Business Legislative Council (SBLC), of which TIA is a member association,
Two webinars are available:
Always a Small Employer - Monday, April 29, 2013, 11:30pm – 12:30pm EST
This webinar is for employers who have less than 50 employees. Health care exchanges, the choices employees will have, and the effects on business will be covered. Other topics are individual mandates, premium assistance, and taxable versus nontaxable benefits.
Large or Potential Large Employer - Monday, April 29, 2013, 3:30pm - 4:30pm EST
This webinar is for employers who currently have or will have more than 50 employees. This webinar will cover the elements of determining the 50-employee threshold for large employer status. It will also cover the interplay between the individual mandates, premium assistance, and exposure for penalties.
The webinars are presented by John Satagaj, president and general counsel of the Small Business Legislative Council. TIA says he has represented small businesses for over thirty years and is well known for his ability to present complex issues such as tax laws and health care reform. SBLC is a coalition of more than 50 associations that share a common interest in promoting small business public policy.

Due to a limited number of spaces, TIA asks that participants sign up only if they are certain they can join the webinar. The Promotional Products Association International (PPAI), TIA’s colleague association in the SBLC, is contributing the webinar resources, and participants will be registering through their site.
